STUdents Showcase Business and Entrepreneurial Skills at Harvard University’s FounderCrush Event

Ana Lucía Pavón, Fernanda Sanchez, and Henry Doucet took their ideas to Harvard—pitching their social enterprises at the FounderCrush event to a global network of innovators and collaborators.
Hosted by the Lemann Program on Creativity and Entrepreneurship, Harvard Grid and others, the event brought together 68 student teams focused on creating social impact through innovation.
“If you’re considering joining the Business and Social Entrepreneurship program at STU, go for it,” said Sanchez.
“The professors will support you and your ideas every step of the way. You won’t just gain academic experience—you’ll become part of a close-knit, passionate community.”
Shaping a Vision for the Future
For Pavón, from Tegucigalpa, Honduras, stepping onto the Harvard campus was a surreal and unforgettable experience.
“Presenting alongside Fernanda was an incredible experience—this is a project we’ve been developing since we first arrived at STU,” she said.
“Sharing it with other social entrepreneurs at Harvard validated all the time, energy, and passion we’ve poured into Bewitched.”
Bewitched is a social enterprise that supports mental well-being through floral designs, curated gifts, and mindful experiences—with proceeds supporting Liberty Lane.
Sanchez, from Managua, Nicaragua, said the FounderCrush event helped shape her vision for the social enterprise moving forward.
“This experience opened my mind to new ideas that could enrich our social enterprise. Talking with stakeholders and Harvard professors about real strategies helped me start to see Bewitched coming to life beyond the classroom.”
A “Once-in-a-Lifetime” Experience
For Doucet, from Truro, NS, presenting HD Diabetic Support was a defining moment.
“Presenting at FounderCrush certainly felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience,” he said.
HD Diabetic Support is an online hub connecting individuals with diabetes and their caregivers to trusted resources, organizations, and support networks—bridging everyday gaps in care.
Doucet left Harvard energized and determined to continue building his project.
“This experience—and STU—showed me how valuable these opportunities are and how taking a chance can pay off. I’m more motivated than ever to grow and launch my social enterprise as a business.”
