St. Thomas University students are invited to participate in the 22nd Annual Student Research & Ideas Fair (SRIF). This annual event provides an opportunity for students to present the results of their independent research, and to learn what is involved in academic conference participation. The SRIF will be held in-person on the afternoon of Friday, March 13, 2026. Students may propose an individual 15-minute paper presentation, or a poster presentation on display during the entire event. New this year is an opportunity to try out a conference presentation that will be given with a professor at an academic conference outside of STU.
Students must have a faculty mentor to assist them. Faculty mentors will help students with the choice of research topic, the preparation of the proposal, and the presentation.
There will be a two-part process to (i) register and (ii) submit a proposal abstract, using our new Fourwaves platform (which should make the process easier). The link is here: https://event.fourwaves.com/50211432-1144-48e3-8286-df01f9acfd12
