Undergraduate Studies
We are so pleased that you are interested in applying to St. Thomas University. Whether you are applying from high school, as a transfer, adult learner, or returning student, our team looks forward to connecting with you throughout the admissions process.
International applicants are able to apply to St. Thomas University through The Common Application.
APPLICATION STEPS
STEP 1 | Create an Account
- Visit STU.ca/signup to set up your future student account
- Review admission requirements at STU.ca/admissions. Select your province or country for detailed requirements.
STEP 2 | Submit Your Application
- Log in to your account at STU.ca/myaccount.
- Click “Start New Application.”
- Complete all required sections.
- Pay the $55 ($40 for applicants from New Brunswick) non-refundable application fee.
STEP 3 | Send Your Official Documents
Canadian High School Applicants
- Upload your high school transcript to your applicant portal.
- Your school can also email transcripts directly to admissions@stu.ca.
International Applicants
- Submit official transcripts from all secondary and/or post-secondary institutions attended.
- Transcripts must be sent directly from the issuing institution to admissions@stu.ca using a verifiable email address.
- If English is not your first language, arrange for official English proficiency test scores (ETS institution code: 0803) to be sent directly to the Admissions Office.
- Permanent Residents must also email a copy of their Permanent Resident card to admissions@stu.ca.
- International applicants who indicate that they are Permanent Residents must provide a photocopy of their official Permanent Resident cards.
Transfer, Returning, or Senior Applicants
- Have official transcripts from any universities you have attended (or are currently attending) sent to the Admissions Office.
- If you are applying to transfer in January of your first year, submit a final high school transcript as well.
- If your post-secondary studies were completed outside Canada, a course-by-course WES evaluation is required.
- If you have a STU transcript, you will not need to submit it, as the Admissions Office can access it directly.
Adult Learners ( Mature Students)
- Submit a 1-2 page typed letter describing your educational background, work experience, and academic plans.
- Provide any available transcripts (e.g. high school, GED).
After You Apply
Your application checklist will be updated within 3-5 business days once all documents are received.
If admitted, you will receive an email prompting you to check your applicant portal for your official offer of admission and next steps.
APPLICATION DEADLINES
Please note that a completed application, application fee, and all supporting documents must be received by the Admissions Office by these deadlines.

Bachelor of Applied Arts - February 15, 2026
Bachelor of Education - December 1, 2025
