Experiential Learning

Experiential learning is an important part of St. Thomas University’s model of education that emphasizes the integration of theory and practice and the importance of learning outside the classroom. Students engage in direct experience and focused reflection in order to increase knowledge, develop skills, clarify values and develop their capacity to contribute to their communities.

“For the things we have to learn before we can do them, we learn by doing them.”

-Aristotle, The Nicomachean Ethics
