Symphony New Brunswick continues its 2025-26 Virtuoso Series this month with Now and Then featuring New Brunswick's foremost wind quintet Ventus Machina. Known for their engaging performances and innovative programming, Ventus Machina is a professional woodwind quintet that continually pushes the boundaries of chamber music. Their artistic collaborations bring fresh interpretations to both traditional and contemporary works, captivating audiences across Canada.

 

Formed in 2011 and based in New Brunswick, Ventus Machina has earned acclaim for its engaging performances, genre-crossing collaborations, and innovative approach to programming. The ensemble — flutist Karin Aurell, oboist Daniella Tejada-Cortés, clarinetist James Kalyn, bassoonist Neil Bishop, and horn player Jon Fisher — has toured extensively throughout Atlantic Canada and beyond, delighting audiences with concerts that balance virtuosity, imagination, and heart.

 

This performance will take place on Thursday, November 6th at St. Thomas University, Margaret Norrie McCain Hall, Kinsella Auditorium at 7:30 PM.

 

Tickets are available at the door: Adults $35/ Non-STU Students $20/ Children under 12 and STU Faculty, Staff and Students are Free
