The university's environmental policy, which was initially approved in 2004 and last revised in 2011, is currently under review. This process aims to ensure that our commitment to sustainability aligns with the latest advancements and best practices in environmental stewardship.

We value the input of our diverse campus community, and we invite all staff and students to actively participate in shaping the future of our environmental policy. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us create a policy that reflects our shared commitment to an environmentally sustainable campus.

To provide you with more information about the policy revision and to facilitate open dialogue, we are hosting a Sustainability Open House in the Sir James Dunn Hall Cafeteria on Tuesday, January 30, from 9:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. During this event, you will have the opportunity to meet with the staff, faculty, and student team members actively involved in this revision project.

Feel free to engage with the team, ask questions, and gain insights into the details of the project. Additionally, you can provide your feedback by reading the draft revision of the policy and completing the survey available here.

This policy review is part of a broader initiative, and it coincides with our commitment to conduct an updated sustainability audit of our campus. The goal is to establish a baseline that will inform the development of a comprehensive climate action plan for our university. We are pleased to share that this audit process is made possible through funding from the NB Environmental Trust Fund.

Thank you for your commitment to creating a sustainable future for our university.
