"Storm the Ballot Box" - Book Launch and Conversation with the Author

4PM - 5:30PM
Dawn Russell Student Lounge
Sir James Dunn Hall

Millions of Canadians are not voting, a crisis that threatens to undermine democracy. Apathy, ignorance, and frustration mean a whole generation is losing faith in the value of their vote. Jo-Ann Roberts wants to ensure that the right to vote is reinvigorated, restored, and respected.

In her book, Storm the Ballot Box, An Insider's Guide to Starting a Voting Revolution, Roberts brings her unique experience from both broadcast newsrooms and political backrooms, laying out twenty concrete steps for how to kickstart a non-violent yet powerful voting revolution, empowering Canadians to mark their X—no matter who they vote for.

At this Fredericton launch of her book, the author will be in conversation with Dr. Jamie Gillies, professor of Communications and Public Policy at St. Thomas. A Q & A will follow and books will be available for sale.

Copies of the book, Storm the Ballot Box, will be awarded as door prizes for students only.
