Five projects, programs and departments at St. Thomas University have partnered with the Fredericton Public Library on a poster exhibit curated by the Hiroshima Memorial Peace Museum: “80 Years of the Nuclear Age: Remembering Hiroshima and Nagasaki.”
The exhibit marks the 80th anniversary of the year the U.S. military dropped two atomic bombs on Japan, shortly before the end of the Second World War.
We invite you to visit the exhibit at the Fredericton Public Library (12 Carleton St.) from October 3 to 31 (open hours HERE).
Join us for the exhibit opening at 3:00 PM on Friday, October 3 at the Fredericton Public Library (upstairs, River Reading Room), featuring a talk by M.V. Ramana, Professor and Simons Chair in Disarmament, Global and Human Security at the University of British Columbia.
The exhibit is brought to you by St. Thomas University’s CEDAR project, Sustainability and Environmental Studies Program, Human Rights Department, History Department and International Relations Program, and supported by funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council Canada.
