Research

Building on her experiences as a teacher and a teacher-educator, Marcea’s scholarly work is situated at the crossroads of curriculum, narrative inquiry, teacher education, international schools and their communities, and literacy education.

 

Her scholarly contributions include more than 40 published works, 60 scholarly presentations, and multiple peer-reviewed research funding awards. Marcea has a passion for collaborative scholarship, and has worked with other researchers internationally and nationally, including the University of Genoa, Queen’s University, McGill University, the University of New Brunswick, and the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research on Narrative at St. Thomas.

 

In 2024, she was appointed as an Editor of the Journal Culture, Education, and Future.
