Claude Cyr

We are pleased to announce Claude Cyr as the recipient of the St. Thomas Alumni Association Award for Service for 2020. Originally intended to be presented during the President’s Luncheon during Alumni Weekend, the presentation and celebration of this award will be rescheduled.

The award was established to recognize the exemplary engagement of alumni in helping advance the aims and objectives of the Alumni Association and the overall reputation of the University. Claude’s nominators were unanimous in noting his commitment and support to both the University and its alumni through service on the Board of Directors, promotion of alumni events at STU – even when wintering in Florida – and participation in the planning of many class reunions. Claude is described as having, “an unfailing love and pride of St. Thomas, with a passion for and commitment to the University which has had a lasting impact, spanning over 50 years.”
