Lindsay Mutch: Letter to a Future STUdent

Lindsay MutchDEAR FUTURE STUDENT,

My name is Lindsay Mutch and I graduated from St. Thomas University in 2024.

In my first year, I took courses in various subjects and discovered a passion for psychology, history, and anthropology.

The trajectory of my career path changed after my first psychology class. I fell in love with psychology and knew I wanted to pursue a career in the field.

I graduated from STU with a major in psychology and I am now a Complex-Case Behaviour Intervention Mentor at King Street Elementary School in Miramichi, NB.

The knowledge I gained from my psychology courses is essential to my career — my journey to a rewarding profession is all thanks to my time at STU.

Studying psychology at STU, I learned:

  • how humans communicate and interact with the world
  • how to be a critical thinker
  • how to analyze theories, biases, and perspectives

As Future STUdents, be open-minded! STU is a safe space to explore and discover various academic subjects. You never know; what you choose to study may be something you never expected.

Wishing you the best of luck,

Lindsay Mutch
